**Responsibilities**

About the Project

We’re developing a large-scale Unreal Engine project (tile-based map creation system for DnD-style maps) that’s entering its final polish and pre-launch phase. Most of the core systems and assets are already built — we now need a hands-on Technical Artist to help us wrap up the materials, effects, and environment polish pipeline.

You’ll be joining a small, highly skilled team working toward a public launch in early 2025.

🎯 Your Responsibilities

Work on materials, shaders, and particle systems to finalize the visual polish of the project.

Translate product goals into clear, actionable technical and artistic tasks.

Keep the Unreal Engine project organized and optimized (folders, naming conventions, ID maps, and assets).

Collaborate with our 3D and environment artists to maintain visual consistency across tile sets and effects.

Deliver tasks on time and maintain a high level of quality and performance.

**Qualifications**

🧠 Required Skills

Strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5 — both technically and artistically.

Proven experience with:

Material Editor / Shader Graph

Niagara particle systems

Asset optimization & naming conventions

Ability to identify bottlenecks, unblock artists/developers, and maintain a clean structure.

Good communication skills — must be comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
