**Responsibilities**

Neem is a multi-title indie studio building a slate of original titles across immersive and PC. We’re a lean team of 10+ senior developers, artists, and producers with a game jam culture: tight scoping, fast prototyping, and high velocity. Neem is looking for an expert Unreal Engine gameplay engineer for a new multiplayer PC game. You will help stand up the core gameplay foundation and ship the first real playable loop. You will own the physics-forward mechanics, especially vehicle locomotion and feel, from first prototype through production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • UE5 gameplay development (Blueprints and/or C++), shipping-ready implementation.
  • Build and iterate vehicle locomotion and physics-driven mechanics
  • Build the gameplay foundation and modular systems that support the loop (player mechanics, interactions, etc)
  • Collaborate with design & art to translate specs into robust systems
  • Create scalable architecture that can survive rapid iteration and future expansion
  • **Qualifications**

  • 5+ years professional Unreal Engine experience (UE4/UE5), with strong Blueprint and/or C++ chops
  • Demonstrated experience shipping/maintaining complex gameplay systems in a real production codebase
  • Deep comfort with physics-heavy gameplay
  • Strong debugging instincts
  • Clear communicator: concise updates, proactive risk callouts, low hand-holding required
  • Taste for “feel” and iteration: you can prototype, test, and refine until it plays right
  • Bonus:

  • Peer-to-peer multiplayer setup experience
  • Experience with physics gameplay across varying network conditions
  • Proven ability to bootstrap gameplay systems from zero and into maintainable production code
  • **How to Apply**

Please submit the following information to [email protected] with Subject: UE5 Gameplay Engineer - [Your Name], including 1. Portfolio or demo reel (videos + links to systems you built; GitHub/Itch acceptable; video captures, shipped titles, or playable builds) 2. Short message describing: Your experience with UE5 gameplay + physics/vehicles, and the most complex movement system you’ve tuned and how you approached it 3. Your hourly or project rate, and estimated availability
