**Responsibilities**
We’re building a modern reimagining of a classic dark high fantasy PvP MMO rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5.
Art direction:
Dark fantasy, grounded realism (not anime, not stylized)
Think weight, grit, scale, and history in every asset
As concept artist/director, you’re shaping the world.
• Referencing original IP, and design iconic characters (armor, silhouettes, factions)
• Environments and scenes
• Define a cohesive visual language across the entire world
• Build moodboards + style guides that future artists will follow
• Work closely with the founder to translate gameplay into visuals
Must-haves:
• Strong portfolio in dark fantasy or grounded medieval
• Ability to do both character + environment (even if stronger in one)
• Clear understanding of:
• Silhouette design
• Material definition (metal, cloth, leather)
• Game readability (not just pretty art)
Ability to think in systems (factions, gear tiers, world consistency)
• Familiarity with UE5 pipelines / 3D handoff thinking
**Qualifications**

2. 1–2 pieces you think best represent dark fantasy tone
If your work looks like it belongs in the same world across characters and environments — you’ll stand out immediately. If it doesn’t, we’ll know just as fast.
