**Responsibilities**

Neem is a multi-title indie studio building a slate of original titles across immersive and PC. We’re a lean team of 10+ senior developers, artists, and producers with a game jam culture: tight scoping, fast prototyping, and high velocity.

Neem is looking for a character animator who can collaborate with engineering and get animation fully implemented in UE5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create fun, stylized character animations for a first-person game (movement, actions, transitions, reactions)
  • Implement animation in UE5: Animation Blueprints, State Machines / Blend Spaces
  • Work with engineering to ensure animation systems are performant, readable, and scalable
  • Iterate quickly from playtest feedback (snappiness, readability, timing, “feel”)
  • **Qualifications**

  • 3+ years professional character animation experience.
  • Hands-on UE5 experience implementing animations (not just exporting).
  • Strong understanding of locomotion systems, timing, anticipation, and game-feel in interactive contexts.
  • Ability to work inside an established pipeline and deliver consistently.
  • Bonus:

  • Experience with first-person body awareness / arms rigs / camera-coupled animation considerations
  • Experience collaborating on animation-driven gameplay (root motion vs in-place tradeoffs, hit-reactions, etc.)
